South London Cab Rank
A piece by APE, who are Adrian Corker and Paul Conboy, this piece of music was made specifically for Cab Gallery. The making of the piece coincided with their moving into a new house with a recording studio situated directly above a taxi rank, and is in essence a field recording and composition. 'South London Cab Rank' was made by dangling a microphone out of a window of the house and recording the sounds of the taxi rank, which were then reworked and shaped in their studio. APE have worked with film director Antonia Bird and have recorded the sountracks for the films 'Face', 'Ravenous', and TV programme 'Care'.
